Director, Career & Professional Development Center (CPDC)
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Career & Professional Development Center (CPDC) at International Standard University (ISU). In today’s dynamic and competitive job market, it is not enough to possess academic knowledge alone. At CPDC, we are dedicated to equipping our students with the required professional skills and necessary industry exposure to ensure their adaptability and success in the modern workplace.

Vision

To empower ISU students with the knowledge, skills, and resources to make informed career decisions and successfully transition from academia to the professional world.

Mission

To be a leading hub for career excellence that bridges the gap between education and employment by facilitating strategic partnerships, lifelong learning, and personal growth.

Goals & Objectives

Our primary goal is to ensure that every ISU graduate is career-ready, confident, and equipped with the essential competencies to succeed in their chosen fields. To achieve this, we are committed to the following objectives:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive career counselling, job search assistance, and professional development workshops tailored to student needs.
  • Facilitate access to meaningful internship and job placement opportunities that align with students’ academic and career goals.
  • Promote strong and sustainable partnerships with industry leaders, alumni, and professional organizations to enhance career prospects.
Strategic Plans & Approaches

At CPDC, we are committed to implementing a sustainable and standard model that supports students throughout their academic journey and beyond. Our strategy revolves around building a structured mentoring ecosystem involving successful alumni, industry experts, and trained faculty advisors. This network will continue to grow, ensuring long-term impact and relevance. To achieve our mission, we plan and execute a range of dynamic initiatives, including career fairs, industry meet-ups, on-campus recruitment drives, job application prep workshops, interview preparation sessions, and skills development boot-camps. Additionally, we aim to integrate career readiness modules into the academic curriculum in close collaboration with faculties and departments. Our strategic approach is driven by four key pillars:

  • Strengthening Industry-University Collaboration: To gain real-time insights and create valuable career opportunities for students.
  • Promoting Data-Driven Career Planning: Using analytics to offer personalized career planning and support.
  • Leveraging Digital Platforms: Ensuring wider accessibility and continuous engagement with students.
  • Encouraging Lifelong Learning: Developing a mindset of growth, adaptability, and self-improvement among students.

Through these strategic efforts, CPDC strives to prepare students not just for their first job—but for lifelong career success. Because, CPDC is not just a service unit; it is a strategic partner in your journey from classroom to career. We invite all students, faculty members, employers, and alumni to engage with us, contribute to our initiatives, and support the development of a future-ready generation of professionals.
