Rashed Ahmed is a passionate academician and legal scholar with over a decade of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership. Currently serving as the Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Law at International Standard University, he brings a deep commitment to legal education, institutional development, and scholarly excellence.
Rashed Ahmed completed both his LLB (Hons.) and LLM from Premier University of Chittagong City Corporation, graduating top position of his class with outstanding academic results. His career spans key roles at one of the top leading private university of Bangladesh, where he served as Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and held responsibilities such as Course Co-ordinator, Assistant Proctor, Chairman and Head of the Self-Assessment Committee under the HEQEP Project of UGC and the World Bank.
As a legal researcher, he has published extensively in national and international peer-reviewed journals, addressing critical issues in areas such as alternative dispute resolution, environmental law, intellectual property, legal aid, and the impact of AI on copyright law etc. His academic work reflects a strong focus on legal reform, policy analysis and social justice.
Beyond the classroom, he has actively participated in professional development workshops on interactive and participatory teaching at the tertiary level and has a strong foundation in English language instruction and legal communication.
Also an enrolled lawyer of the Judges' Court, he continues to bridge the gap between legal practice and academia. Known for his leadership, mentorship, and dedication to quality legal education, Rashed Ahmed is a respected voice in the legal academic community of Bangladesh.
