Overview
Department of Business Administration (DBA) of International Standard University (ISU) started its journey as one of its four initial departments on and from 16 September 2019. Within a short span of time the department has been successful to enhance its capabilities in terms of teaching quality, research and co-curricular activities.
The department has eight fulltime faculty members; one professor, three associate professors, two assistant professors and two lecturers. Among them three faculty members have PhD degrees from world’s top ranked universities. Five faculty members are Gold medalists from their respective universities or departments. Some faculty members have foreign degrees from UK, Australia, Sweden and Malaysia. Six out of the eight faculty members have more than 10 years’ teaching experience at the university level. Moreover, these faculty members have relevant experiences of holding administrative positions such as Dean of the faculty, Chairperson of the department, Director of MBA and BBA programs, Director/Additional Director of IQAC, Proctor, Coordinator of various clubs and forums. They were also members of different statutory committees such as syndicate, finance committee, academic council, etc. of various public and private universities.
The department has a team of highly pro-active researchers. They are familiar with all branches of researches in the area of social sciences. In addition to our BBA and MBA programs, we have a plan to start research based programs like M.Phil. and Ph.D. in future. One of our senior faculty members has been working as supervisor of M.Phil. and PhD students of different public universities in Bangladesh.
We also have experts on the use of secondary data who are also trainers of Smart PLS and AMOS. In addition, we have an expert on panel data who is also a trainer of STATA and teaches different econometric techniques of static and dynamic panel data models such as fixed effect and random effect, system and difference GMM. Our faculty members have published their articles in several international referred journals; indexed by Scopus and ABDC, SSCI (Web of Science) etc.
In order to enrich our team we also invite professors from top ranking public universities like the University of Dhaka (DU), Jahangirnagar University (JU), The University of Rajshahi (RU), Bangladesh University of Textile (BUTEX) etc. and also topmost corporate leaders such as CEOs and CFOs from MNCs as guest faculties. Overall, the department is highly equipped to impart quality education both at undergraduate (BBA) and postgraduate levels (MBA).
