Overview

The Department of Apparel Merchandising & Management at International Standard University is dedicated to producing skilled graduates for the rapidly growing apparel industry. Managed by a Board of Trustees made up of philanthropic industrialists from Standard Group, the department demonstrates a strong commitment to providing quality & industry-focused education. It offers a comprehensive 4-year Bachelor's program, designed to equip students with in-depth knowledge of apparel merchandising, production, supply chain, and management practices. To earn the Bachelor of Apparel Merchandising & Management degree, students are required to complete 140 credits of carefully structured courses that balance theoretical knowledge with practical applications. Upon graduation, students are prepared to build successful careers in diverse roles such as Quality Assurance Manager, Sample Room Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Planning Manager, Merchandiser, Production Manager, Factory Manager, and Compliance Manager in the ready-made garments (RMG) sector both in Bangladesh and abroad. A key strength of the department lies in its team of highly experienced faculty members, who combine years of professional industry expertise with academic excellence, ensuring that students gain real-world insights alongside classroom learning.
